If you’re skeptical or unsure of watching a Studio Ghibli film, now is your chance to try something new. You won’t regret it.
Animated films can be just as good as any live-action movie and Studio Ghibli films can be just as good as any American animated movie.
These films aren’t just for children. They offer various imaginative storylines that can connect with the viewer. When we find a movie we
like, we can obsess over it and try to apply it to our personal lives. The experience itself encourages us to share it with others. So
that’s what I’m doing right now. I, personally, love Studio Ghibli movies and strongly believe that some are underappreciated by those
outside their current fanbase.
There is a difference between the animation style of this Japanese animation house compared to animation studios in America. These animated
feature films are known by their fans for their beautiful and one-of-a-kind animation.Their films include traditional hand drawn scenes of the
different environments within the story. The animators show that attention to detail matters and is a valuable tool in creating their art.
These films have both the visual and narrative freedom to create any universe they wish to create. Animation allows storytellers to experiment
with the fantasies and enchantments of their stories. They are able to create fictional details that make their films evoke various emotions in
their audience.
Through their work, they are able to bring the story to life for the viewer to immerse themselves in the scene. From close-ups of food to
mesmerizing environmental shots that make you feel as if the air is touching your skin, these films invite each viewer to the world they’ve
created. The visual art style of these films can be captivating for any viewer.
These animations present characters that are relatable to the audience. As a viewer, we want to be able to see ourselves in these characters.
Studio Ghibli creates characters with imperfections, hardships, ambition, and full of life. You can find yourself getting attached to the
different characters throughout the films- from a wide arrangement of spirits, witches, and ‘regular’ people.
